Melt

She woke up that morning, feeling happy and refreshed.  

I wake up in the morning
And immediately I start to think of you
I decided to cut my bangs
Just to hear you say, "What happened?"

She got up and went to the bathroom, took a pair of scissors, and decided to trim a bit of her bangs, making them not too long, and not too short.  After washing up, she went downstairs to greet her mother.

"Good morning Touko.  Have a good night's sleep?  Or are you just excited about him coming today?" her mother winked.  Touko blushed.

"Morning Touko-whoah.  You look different, but I don't know where!" Touya exclaimed from his place at the table.  Jessi, Touko's traveling partner, lightly smacked him playfully.

"I guess you wouldn't know since you're like her brother.  I'm pretty sure he'd know, though."  Touko smiled and sat down and quickly ate down her breakfast before rushing back upstairs.

"She's really happy.  I'm glad." Jessi commented, smiling as she got up.  Touya nodded.

And it's time to go
I'm looking super cute today!

"Pink skirt…check.  Flower barrette…check.  Black leggings…check.  White shirt…check.  Bag…check.  Hat…check.  I'm good!" Touko beamed.  She dropped her Pokeballs into her bag and bounded down the stairs to the door, where she slipped on her shoes.  

"I'm going!  See you later!" she called, and she was out the door.

"Have fun!" her mother called, but Touko was already gone.  Her mother smiled.

Touko ran through Route 1 and through Accumula Town, where she hopped on her bike and sped through Route 2, Striaton City, Route 3, Wellspring Cave, and finally stopped in Nacrene City, where she met him.  Surprisingly, she had managed to stay unfrazzled the whole trip over.

"Touko!" he had exclaimed when she had approached him, breathing heavily.  "Are you ok?  You didn't have to exert yourself."

"No…it's ok…" she smiled, and he had smiled as well out of relief.  Luckily, her tiredness could cover for her red cheeks, which were because she was blushing.

Melt - I'm about to melt
I can't tell you that I like you... but...
Melt - I can't let our eyes meet
I'm not into love and all that
But I do... like you

As she stood up, he frowned and took one of her bangs into his hands.  Touko flushed farther.

"What happened?"

"Hm?"

"What did you do to your bangs, Touko?"

"Uh…ah…I…cut them." she stammered.  He smiled slightly.

"I liked your original bangs, but this is still cute." Touko could've sworn that she was as red as a tomato right then and there.

"T-Thanks."

"Anyway, I don't want you to exhaust yourself, so how about we fly over to Nimbasa?" he asked.  Touko could feel him staring at her outfit as she put away her bicycle.

"Sure, that sounds great!" she smiled up at him, and he took out a Pokeball.  Zekrom's Pokeball.  Touko stared at it for a few seconds before he threw it out, and Zekrom appeared.  He got on Zekrom, and held out his hand.  Touko took it and he helped her up.  She wrapped her arms around his waist as Zekrom descended the skies and held on tightly.

The weather report lied
It's pouring down
My umbrella still folded in my bag won't do
So I gave a sigh
"I guess I'll have to let you in"
Beside me you say, laughing
That was the sound that made me fall in love

When they landed in Nimbasa, it started to rain.

"The weather report said that it wasn't supposed to rain until tomorrow!" Touko exclaimed.  N took out an umbrella and held it over them, chuckling.

"Well, it's a good thing I brought an umbrella big enough for the both of us, right?" he grinned.  "Are you still up for going to see the musical and the amusement park?"

"Of course!  We're here, so if we didn't do that, then it would be a waste!" she said, taking his hand and leading him to the musical building.  She knew he couldn't see her face, but she was still blushing, and she couldn't breathe.  Her hand slightly trembled.  N then held onto her hand tighter, and Touko looked up in surprise.  He was looking ahead, a slight red twinge playing on his face.  Touko giggled and held onto his hand firmly.  

Melt - I can hardly breathe
My hand, touching yours, is trembling
My heart is racing under this half of the umbrella
If you should stretch out your hand to close the distance, what'll I do...?!

As they left the musical, they decided to go to the amusement park.  After going onto as many attractions as they could handle, their last stop was the Ferris wheel.  They entered and got onto a carrier.  Touko's heart raced as they ascended.  Did he remember?

"I remember…" N said.  Touko turned and looked at him.  He was staring out the window with a melancholic face.

"I remember…I told you I was the king of Team Plasma here." he spoke.  Touko could see that he was fighting back tears.  She stepped closer to him, and hugged him.  He stiffened out of surprise, but slowly relaxed, hugging her back tightly, his tears falling onto her shirt.  Touko didn't mind.  She wanted to stay like this with N.

It's time to stop wishing, I feel like I'm gonna cry
And yet, I'm so happy I could die!

But of course, there's only so long that you can stay on the Ferris wheel.

Melt - We've reached the station...
We can't see each other anymore, we're close yet so far away, so...
Melt - I want to walk hand in hand with you!
Must we say goodbye so soon?
Hold me tight right away!
...or something

They walked to the Battle Subway area.  The officials had decided to add trains going out to every city in Unova.  The next subway departing to Nuvema Town was coming in about 20 minutes.

"I had fun today." N smiled.  Touko nodded, smiling back.

No…I don't want it to end like this!

"Where are you going next?" she asked as they waited for the subway.

"I'm going to Hoenn.  Since I had just traveled aimlessly looking for answers, I suppose I will go back there again – this time as a trainer."

"Take me there with you." Touko clutched at him, burying herself into his shirt.  N looked down at her in surprise.

"Eh?"

"Take me there with you." she repeated, looking up at him with tears in her eyes.

"But you're the champion here!"

"I don't care.  I don't want to miss you; I don't want to be kept away from you.  I love you N, and that's why I don't want to let go!" she cried.  N's eyes widened.

'Ten minutes until departure.'

"Please N.  Take me with you!" and her tears overflowed.  N wiped them away, smiling.

"I'm glad that you love me.  Are you sure you want to go?"  It was Touko's turn to be surprised.

"I can go with you?"

"Yeah, of course you can!" he said.  Touko hugged him tightly.

"Yes, yes, yes!" she exclaimed, and N laughed, and he leaned down to her ear.

"And my answer to your confession is:  I love you too." he whispered, and Touko blushed.

'Five minutes until departure, all people going to Nuvema Town please get onto the platform.'

"I gotta take you home first so you can tell your mother." he said, and they headed to the platform.

"Come stay with me for the night so you can ask." Touko gripped his hand.

"Your mother wouldn't mind?"  Touko smiled.

"Of course not.  In fact, I think she'd be excited to see you.  So would Touya and Jessi."  The subway train pulled into the station, and the doors opened.  People got out, and when it was empty, people started filing in.

"Shall we go?" N asked, beaming down at her.  Touko smiled serenely up at him.  She was so happy that she could melt.

"Yes, let's go." And they entered the train.  They found empty seats and sat down.  As the train moved out, it rode toward Nuvema Town, where the start of the rest of their lives would begin.
